Diamond drilling with anchors HAS-U 8.8

Goodmorning, I remember that I used to design connection with anchors HAS-U 8.8 and diamond drilling method. Now, if I select the diamond drilling method, PROFIS gives me a notification that it is not possible anymore with anchors HAS-U 8.8. Which type of anchors could I use, which have a similar capacity as HAS-U and that we can install with diamond drilling?
Thanks in advance, Marina

Dear Marina,

I'm pretty sure the type of anchor has nothing to do with the error you face. Diamond drilling without roughening is not possible in combination with a chemical anchor. Although there is one exception: the HIT-Z anchor rod in combination with the HIT-HY 200 mortar.

So to answer your question: make sure you select the diamond drilling roughening in drill method, so the mortar can bind with the base material. Furthermore, the possibility of diamond drilling & cracked concrete is not implemented in our free software, Profis Engineering, for the same reason; roughening is required for the mortar to bind.

I hope this helps, feel free to contact us at NLTeamTechnischAdvies@Hilti.com
